Bug Report Webcam only showing as a red box?

I am trying to add my webcam to a scene, but it fails to show. Any clue as to what I'm doing wrong?

Are you sure your webcam is capable of the settings you selected there?

that webcam is not capable of 720p video

I have a VX-6000 which is better than the VX-3000 and it is capable of up to 800x600 @ 30fps, higher resolution modes are only for photo capturing. To be 100% sure of which resolutions are supported, just open the webcam software that comes with it, and it will list all available resolutions and let you know if its capable of video at that resolution as well.

If you can't do that, its safe to set it at 640x480.

I shouldn't actually even have that resolution in the list if it's not capable of it though
