Question / Help Webcam isn't working

it's not used anywhere else, tried switching usb ports, ran as admin, no other cameras plugged

windows itself sees the camera and plays footage with the "camera" program.
obs recognizes my old one, not the one I just got.

Almost the same issue. But I've got single laptop camera. Windows 10 App Camera works perfect, but OBS just show a black screen, while an indicator of the webcam is lit.
