Question / Help Webcam/In-game blurry and Pixelated

Hi, I've been trying to get my game to finally stop buffering and when I finally did it now gets blurry during fights or moving to fast. My webcam also becomes like a stop motion picture (it's like the matrix slow-mo) I've been playing around with the settings and I can't figure it out, so now I'm coming to you guys for help.

Thanks in advance.

I am ussually at 2.1 to 2.5mbps (today is just a good day)

Using a bigger custom buffer size will make OBS attempt to send at that speed sometimes, usually you want to keep the buffer size equal to bitrate. Just make sure you have no dropped frames, then you're good on that end.

Also 30fps should be good enough, not much of a smoothness improvement to be had till ~48

Also I'm not too sure about the fine details of NVENC, maybe try the normal CPU x264 encoder to see if that works better.

Any logs with cpu encoding?

The webcam going slow motion might be an isolated problem from the fights getting blurry. Might be just the quality you get from NVENC, I have no clue about that really.

524p 30fps at 2000kbps with cpu encoding at x264 preset veryfast should look quite stable in motion, quality wise, compared to no motion. 700p should be pretty good as well with that.

as for the camera issue, I'm really clueless regarding that, maybe somebody else can help, I hope!

edit: try and see how the quality behaves without the camera on scene, if nothing helps.

NVENC gives pretty low quality.

Can you link to a video of the issue? Would be nice to see what kind of blurriness you're actually getting.
