Hi,

I recently purchased a webcam to use for streaming. When I look at streamers like ocelote, they have their webcam minimized somewhere in their screen. So while watching them play a game, you can see the game but also a small part of the stream shows him in the webcam. How do I configure it like this? Do I need to add a Video Capture source in all my scenes? What do I have to configure next?

You are correct that you add a webcam to the scene as a video capture source. You can click the Edit Scene button to move it around and resize it.

If you are going to use it in several scenes, I recommend you add it as a global source so it stays loaded between scenes.

Hi,

thank you for your response. However, when I add it as a Global Source, the webcam doesn't start? I tried 'Preview Stream' but the cam stays turned off, whereas when I use it in a source it will turn on automatically. Why? I use a Logitech C920.

Also, when I try to use that webcam as my audio, it says that 'that audio is already exclusively in use by a different application' message or something. How do I fix that?

Thanks in advance.

Once you add it as a global source, you still have to add it to a scene. Right-click the sources window and say Add > Global Sources and you will see your webcam source.
