Hello,
I'm new to obs and recently installed the multi-platform version on Ubuntu. Unlike guvcview I cannot seem to select the h264 stream from my Logitech c920 webcam. I have seen some other postings claiming this is not supported (yet?). I've even seen an post saying h264 support was irrelevant as obs re-encodes things anyway. This to me is not true as with the limited usb2 bandwidth the only way to do 720p or 1080p at 30fps is some form of compression. mjpeg might also be acceptable, but I do not have that option either.
Second question. Is the situation different for the "older" windows only version. Does that support the h264 stream from the camera? I really wanted to do an open-source platform, but switching to windows is no problem for me.
