Question / Help Webcam Freezing Issue

So about two months ago, I ran into an issue where while trying to stream, my webcam freezes. But it only does this with OBS. If I am on Skype, Facebook, or anything else I use the webcam for, it's 100% fine. No lag/freezing at all. I use a Logitech C615 1080HD webcam. If anybody knows why, or has an idea how I can fix this, please let me know. That would be greatly appreciated.

If it's connected to USB 2.0 Port then try connecting it to USB 3.0 Port or vice versa.
I has the same problem with a OLD webcam I was using, for some reason it worked flawlessly in the 3.0 Port but always froze in a 2.0 Port even though it was made for USB 2.0
You can also try a different USB Port, meaning if you're connecting to a port that's not directed connected to the MOBO, then try one of those or vice versa.

Thank you. I moved it from a 3.0 port, to a 2.0 port and now seems to be working. No freezing or lag while switching scenes. Now if I could just get the chiming to stop when switching scenes.

Chiming??? Like the Windows Alerts letting you know a device has been disconnected and/or connected?
You might be able to solve that by making sure the setting to "keep device loaded" is enabled. (This setting might only be in OBS-Studio I'm not sure)
You might also want to consider upgrading to OBS-Studio seeing as how it has soooooooooooo many better and updated features, just sayin.

OK... Seriously... I need to go to sleep, I said I was going to go to sleep 3 hours ago and I've just been sitting here reading peoples posts and trying to help people because... IDK I'm nice?

Yeah, I have Studio also, though haven't used it since it hasn't been recognizing my Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma headset. But that's an issue for another time. Thanks again though, sleep well.
