Question / Help Webcam fades off into the sunset

I just installed virtual webcam, created a scene and added webcam to my sources. When I click on webcam in my options and press start my webcam fades off into the background to infinity. What am I doing wrong? Also, when I try and open it up in ZOOM I click on webcam and Zoom says it can't find the selected camera. Thank you
