WAV or PCM output of audio.

Right now I can choose between AAC or MP3. Is there a way to choose a lossless or uncompressed output? I'd settle for the 48 KHz 16 bit PCM from the HDMI source I am using, if transcoding is too much. Would be willing to pay $100 for this as a plugin.

This program is amazing, and does everything I need for free, except the audio captured would be processed, and I don't want to be working with a lossily compressed file.

If I am missing a setting or plugin that already allows this, please slap me and I will never speak of it again! Thank you!

You might want to check out OBS-MP:

The Audio Encoder and Audio Encoder settings option should be interesting for you. (I would assume ffmpeg supports a lossless encoder, but that you would need to check)
You can grab the windows test here: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/latest-windows-test-build-0-9-1.23342/

Thank you. I tried the multiplatform version. I have no idea how to get back the basic functionality from plain OBS.

I can only get captures at my desktop resolution. I am trying to record two 1080p sources and switch between them, but it is recording at my 3840x2160 desktop resolution then downsizing it to 1920x1080, which is a waste. Is there a way to stop the unnecessary upscale & downscale and just have it capture whatever the source is like original OBS?

Also, since vegas does not like avi or mkv input, and mp4 cannot contain flac or plain wav, is there some way to just dump wav output into a separate file? or to force wav into the mp4 file? maybe just a checkbox to dump audio into a separate wav file? :) Is there any way to get wav output in the version that already makes sense to me? :) Is there any documentation for this new version I can dive into so I stop bothering experienced people with my ignorance? I love the old working OBS, I just wish it had uncompressed/untainted audio output as an option. I feel like it would be far easier to get working old OBS to have wav output than to get this new multiplatform OBS to have proper capture, proper video encoding, documentation, etc.. the only software that does what OBS does costs $1200 and is buggy as hell so I'd happily donate for this one silly feature!!! I beg one of you, take my money!

Thank you again!!

I donated $100 just now. I recorded my first video with the old one that went off without a hitch. Very convenient. The new one also causes random system hangups.

on wav output to separate file in original OBS.. pretty please? :) :)

Yikes. :( That is scary. Any way to get it to not resize? I have FLAC output working in OBS MP which is exciting! Now just need 1080p capture that doesn't go to 4k only to be resized again to 1080p. I'd like to be able to capture with no filtering/resizing going on in the process. I chose 1920x1080 for base resolution and scale resolution but I have a feeling it is still going through a lanczos filter anyway.

This program is amazing. I wish I had found it three years ago.

Three years ago OBS1 was in a much earlier state than OBS-MP is right now.

Also I have no idea what you're talking about regarding the upscale/downscale process. Just like in OBS1, set your base resolution to whatever you want (in this case 1920x1080 I guess?) under Settings > Video. If you're capturing a 1920x1080 source it will fit in the without any resizing.
