Hello, I downloaded OBS to record tibia but the colours are washed out and the recordings my as well go to trash because of that. I think I tried every single possible colours option in OBS. I was switching between them, recording a few seconds and then checking. The video looks exactly the same doesnt matter what options I try. HDR is disabled. I am not sure how to procceed anymore. The google doesn't seem to find a solution for me. Please help.

I will attach two, one taken on a video and one screenshot from the game itself. The difference can be clearly seen.

I see two images with different size (width x height). Likely, you need to set in OBS Settings > Video the Base (Canvas) and Output (Scaled) resolution to the same value = resolution at which the game is running. And of course, no re-scaling in the Settings > Output.

And we need to see the log file too. The compression may be part of the equation. Probably to get better colors needs better quality recording settings. Anyway, red and green are hard to get good when encoding.

Hello there, thanks for the replies. I have attached a screenshot of how the game looks and is supposed to look. Also, I made a 5 second video using OBS and uploaded it to youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAgN-AWKOts&ab_channel=Malfour) to show you how it looks. Tibia doesn't open in fullscreen but rather in a window. My monitor's resolution is 1920x1080 and those are also my values under Settings > Video.

It is odd as when viewing the video without a full screen, the video looks bad but when I opened the youtube video on a full screen, it does look better. Also while recording and during movement on the screen, some stuff turns to pixels. Any idea how to procceed?

Can you elaborate more on the log file and where to locate it ?

Look inside Help menu. In there you'll see the way to upload crash reports and log files. Inside the log files sub-menu you can choose between uploading the current log file, the previous log file or access the folder where the log files are stored.
The log file must be of one of the tests you did. Please attach only one.

Disable HAGS
Set the color range to partial (not full)

In the recording settings change the same as stream to something else. Use nvenc or hevc.
Actually, you may want to change the advanced output for simple output and select one of the quality presets for recording.

If you don't know how to do any of this, please start here: https://obsproject.com/kb/quick-start-guide

Thank you for the tips. I have applied them but they don't seem to have changed much.

I chose to turn fullscreen mode in-game so it is no longer in a window and the bar below dissapeared but I still have a problem with quality. The edges aren't sharp. It feels like the video was recorded in 480p or something. Any ideas how to improve on that?
