Question / Help Warning: Raptr reduces framerate when using Game Capture

If you use the Raptr desktop client like me to track your gameplay usage, then you might like to know that it seems all those streaming features in the client are causing havok with capture. Every time I was previewing or streaming, my Minecraft framerate would slice in half whenever the Minecraft window was in focus. Exit raptr and start everything again, and bam, I'm getting a smooth 60fps while previewing.

I don't know what to disable with Raptr to stop this so for now just exit the client if you intend to capture/stream with OBS.

Can vouch for this. I was having extreme issues just like this, turns out it was raptr (uninstalled three weeks ago)

If Raptr is what I think it is, I don't understand why would anyone want to have it installed. I think I even heard rumours about it being one huge bloatware with questionable functionality.
