Question / Help Warning High CPU Encoding

Hello friends,
I've stumbled across an issue lately. I've been getting that lovely red message that everyone once in a while gets that's basically OBS saying "hey idiot, turn down your settings". but here's the problem, there's no reason for it to be showing up as far as I can see. My setting should be well within my computer's capabilities.

i5 2500k @4.2 Ghz, GTX 980Ti, 24GB RAM, Win10.

settings are
bitrate + buffer 3500
resolution: 1080p
fps: 30
x264 preset: veryfast
encoding profile: main
keyframe: 2

last time I streamed was on NYE and I found the error appearing on every game I played. LoL, CS:GO, EuroTruck Sim, WoW... it even shows up on monitor capture and when I;m using my capture card to stream an Xbox game sometimes. no overheating issues are occurring.

Any thoughts? Also is there anyway for me to stream at 1080p60 without impacting my in-game sertting/perfomance too much with my rig? I'm a bit of a stickler for quality.

One of the Logs from NYE, I restarted a bunch trying to play with settings to get the warning to go away.

Also, Is there any way for me to figure out why CS;GO in particular takes such a larger performance hit (major fps drop) when I stream?

because the source engine is cpu based and really edgy when it comes to streaming + playing on the source engine.

in your case lowering the resolution on your webcam might help alot

hey thanks for the reply man! I never even considered lowing my webcam resolution. any thoughts to my other issue with the warning text? I think it might be related to the fact that I'm overclocked. My PC seems to think my cpu is always running at 100% and maybe that's why obs is throwing the code?

Streaming at 1080P60 as a non partner isn't a good idea. Without transcodes, people may not be able to watch your stream if you output at the maximum bitrate. The butter-zone for unpartnered streams is generally 2000-2500 bitrate, 720p30. streaming at 1080P60 is extremely demanding on a PC, and even at max bitrate still isn't advisable.

It will most likely help to set OBS and CS;GO to run on diffrent cores. (set affinity)
that way they should not interfere with each other.
