Question / Help VSTHost Latency

When streaming with VSTHost, I get huge audio latency. If I set the audio delay in OBS to the max negative (-700) then it matches pretty well, but that doesn't seem like the best way around, especially if the latency were to change at any time. This latency is only happening after the audio comes from VSTHost into VBAudio Cable and into OBS. So VBA is causing the latency. Is there a way to fix this? Or should I just go with the audio delay setting in OBS?

Audio latency from something like VST is going to be expected. There isn't so much a fix you can do other than setting negative sync offsets in OBS to compensate best you're able, at least in the current version of OBS. How are you using it, via desktop audio, or are you using it some way else?

I have the audio from my USB AT2020 into VSTHost and then out through VB-Audio Cable, and then OBS picks up the output of VBA. My buffer in VSTHost is lowered to 70 samples (630 b/s), so it seems to be VBA causing the latency. Could OBS pick up VSTHost directly? It seems odd to have to have a middle man.
