I’ve been following the Better Voice Recording guide here in guide section, The guide tells me that the Gate filter removes background noise during pauses in speech and it does that very well. But here’s my problem, when I talk the noise is there. Stop talking, no noise. Also using noise suppressor but that doesn't help much.
The gate is set at -40.0 dB. It blocks noise below that until I talk then lets the noise through too. Is there any VST plugins that will block sound below that -40 dB all the time whether I’m talking or not and let sound (speech) pass above that?
