VR1-HD Issues Including Delay

Greets:
I have a Roland VR-1HD switcher.

For some time in OBS, in both v.27 and 28, whenever I open up OBS and choose a source that has the switcher as a video input device, the canvas is always blank, even when the cameras on the switcher are active. I would have to go to properly, toggle to another device, then toggle back to the switcher before video appears on the canvas. This has been pretty consistent. Roland doesn't seem to think the issue is on its end, so I'd appreciate some insight on what that could be.

But the more pressing thing that I'm dealing with is the sync offset. In OBS, I notice a two-second delay between when I clap my hand and when I see myself clapping. I changed the setting on the audio offset, but so far I have not been able to close the gap and it seems there's no change. When I hooked up an external monitor directly to the switcher, I have an offset on the switcher of about 500ms, and I think I can even get it lower than that; the offset is where it should be, more or less. The switcher has 2 Sony ZV-1 cameras attached and set to movie mode so that they can use the HDMI.

I have the switcher and OBS on my M1 Max Mabook Pro, running macOS Monterey 12.5.

Thanks!

To add to what I posted, there is also a webcam and a FaceTime camera that's part of my OBS profile, and there's very low latency with those in OBS. It's only when I switched to the Roland VR-1HD switcher that the latency appears.

Additionally, when I open up Zoom and Ecamm Live and select the VR-1HD as a camera source, there's very little latency in both.

With that, I'm at a loss to figure out where the bottleneck is. Also, not sure if operating on Apple silicon or MacOS Monterey might have some sort of impact.

Anyway, that's all I got. Thanks!
