Question / Help Volume too loud

I am streaming from an N64 and recently veiwers have been saying that the game sound is too loud but I can't figure out how to adjust it. I've tried the system mixer and the obs volume but it is still going way above the level I set it to, I don't understand please help :)

How are you capturing the audio?

Thanks for the reply. It is through the USB capture device "line-in" I tried adjusting the volume on this in the system mixer and the viewers said there was no difference

Are you able to capture via non-USB?

I could use my mic maybe and mute the USB device. I'll give that a try
