Volume During Capture

I'm sorry if this has already been answered, I tried to search for it, but couldn't come up with this exact issue. When I am recording video from my USB capture device on a Windows 10 PC, I see audio coming through in the mixer, and the finished video files have audio in them, but I can't hear the audio live on my PC. The volume is up on the PC, all other audio comes through, and I made sure that OBS is not disabled or turned down in the Window volume mixer. IF this is expected behavior, that is fine, but I feel like I am just missing something?

To make that source audible, enable monitoring for it. Right click the audio source in the mixer->Advanced audio properties and in the column Audio monitoring, choose Monitor and Output. Output means it's output to your recording or stream. Monitor means it's output to the monitoring device. You configure the monitoring device in Settings->Audio->Advanced->Monitoring device. You have to choose a monitoring device you don't capture with OBS, otherwise OBS will create a feedback loop. OBS tries to detect this and just refuses to monitor in case of feedback.
