Question / Help Voicemeeter Audio Issues

So I have used OBS for a while now, and I really wanted to separate my audio tracks (ex: Mic in one, desktop audio in 2, and skype/discord in 3). So I was doing some digging around and I found this program called voicemeeter and it helps me split these tracks, I have set them all correctly and they all work perfectly fine until I stop streaming/recording and turn off my computer, once I turn it back on and relaunch voicemeeter and OBS, OBS detects the audio but for some reason I doesn't record/stream it until I have to delete the input/output capture and re-add it after that it works perfectly fine until I turn off my computer again. Any help would be appreciated to fix this issue because it is really annoying to add all of them again especially the filters. Thx

I'm a long-time Voicemeeter Banana user, and I've never had this issue -- but that's no consolation to you, I'm sure. Can we verify that you're using the most up-to-date version of OBS Studio (not OBS Classic, for instance)? Are you also using the most recent version of Voicemeeter Banana?

What do you mean when you say, "OBS ~detects the audio~ but doesn't record/stream it"? Are you saying that, when you send audio to Voicemeeter's outputs, the volume meter on OBS Studio's audio inputs jumps up and down, as though it's receiving audio? Please be as detailed as you can, and I'll do my best to assist.

I am actually using the free version of Voicemeeter and I am using OBS Studio I have the most recent update and what you said is correct about the audio going up and down in OBS but not actually recording anything when I check the recording/stream. The only way I fix this so far is by deleting the input/output captures I have set up in OBS

If OBS Studio's VU meter is jumping up and down, it seems to me like it should be recording the output. If you check OBS Studio's Mixer properties, are any of your audio devices set to 'Monitor (No Output)?" Probably not, judging from your explanation of your problem, but that's all that I can think of unless you can give me a lot more details about your rig.

What I recommend is doing a Desktop capture and recording two videos: one where the audio is working (and say something so we can hear you), and then restart your computer and do another recording where we can see the VU meter but we'll be getting silence, right? In the video, run through your OBS Studio settings, including all of the tabs, and I'll have a look and see if I can help.

If the VU meter is jumping and you're not getting any audio, it sounds like a potential bug, but, before I say that for sure, I'd like to see what you're seeing and get an idea of what your configuration is like.
