Question / Help Voice Activation?

So I've been searching in OBS for a setting to allow me to use voice activation. As I have a mic that likes to pick up background noises like crickets and my fans, it's very annoying when trying to record or livestream. I would like to make my videos and such sound as professional as possible. Any assistance would be wondrous! :3

Look into the Noise Gate plugin. Settings>Microphone Noise Gate on the latest versions.

Well, I have been trying this feature out and It doesn't quite see to my liking, unfortunately. It just sounds awkward when I speak, I was hoping for something similar to how Skype works. It's doesn't pick up any loud traffic from my mic. As for now, it'll work fine. :3 Thanks again.
