I'd recommend pausing your recording whenever there's dead air. You can set a hotkey for it. It might be a pain to synchronize it with make it voice-activated though. You probably don't have a solution there, and no one would be interested in making that solution because it's a really niche case that would probably be really janky. I'd recommend doing it manually or just editing it after like most youtubers for example would.
