VLC Video Source - updating

I have an VLC video playlist reading videos from a folder on my Imac. When I add videos to the folder Id like it to auto refresh/update in OBS. Is there anyway that can happen? at the moment it doesn't seem to update unless I go in and re-add the folder within the properties...

Haven't tried it yet but searching for a solution to this issue (minus the mac part) there seems to be this plugin that fixes it https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/directory-watch-media.801/
