VLC Video Source returns deinterlaced video without command from OBS

I've tried deinterlacing a 50i video stream using VLC Video Source into a 50p video. Normally this works with Media Source where you would deinterlace with Yadif 2x. But with VLC Video Source, the original source content is already 25p even with deinterlacing disabled on OBS Studio. How do I make the VLC Video Source return original interlaced material so that I can deinterlace it in OBS, or deinterlaced 50p material?

I've already checked the preferences in VLC media player, everything is set to Yadif 2x.
