Question / Help VLC really slow when skipping through videos I recorded with OBS

When I record videos using OBS and skip to any point in the video it freezes for many seconds. This happens whether I jump forward 10 minutes, or go back 5 seconds. I am recording myself play games to watch them back and see what I did wrong so 60 fps and being able to skip around a lot is important to me even if I have to sacrifice the quality a bit. My best guess is that it's something in the settings because I really don't know what I'm doing with them. Any help appreciated.

So I found a work around where I open the file in windows movie maker, let it load, and then publish it. This makes it really fast and I can watch the video, but it also takes a really long time. Is this avoidable, and if not can I get OBS to do it instead of using windows movie maker?

I'm glad I am not the only one with this issue. I also have this problem, I record my Overwatch matches and watch them afterwards to try and improve. Unfortunately I cannot rewind or fast forward since it takes forever to load up. Another issue for me is when I try to edit my videos on Sony Vegas to upload over to Youtube it also take forever to load and it makes it very difficult to edit videos. I am guessing this does not happen to everyone so I would like to know if somethings wrong on our end. Is there a "key" plugin we are supposed to have or something. Every other video works fine, even Fraps videos are playable.
