Question / Help Virtual Keyboard isn't Showing Keystrokes

Maybe someone can give me some insight on this issue, because I can't find anything on google about this. I am unable to see any keystrokes on the "OnScreen Keyboard" except for alt, shift, and Ctrl. Any key from A to Z does not light on the onscreen keyboard. Any suggestions?

CPU 2700k Overclocked to 4.5ghz
16GB DDR3
Nvidia GTX 690, GT 430, On-board Video
2x SSD Raid0
Win8 64bit
OBS 64bit
OS Langue: Japanese
Written Input: English [Windows] & Japanese [Google IME]

Note: Also tried this English Windows 8 machine and it wouldn't light up either.

Which virtual keyboard are you using? Also have you given NohBoard a try (it's on the forums here) which requires some configuring but is supposed to do pretty much what you are asking.

ThoNohT is currently still working on improvements for this Application , you should give it a try.

If you were trying to use the keyboard found in windows, it doesn't record keystrokes.

Thanks guy for the suggestion! It's working somewhat, can't use window capture with it, but game capture does work most of the time. Is there any other free alternatives out there?

It's still in development, I think window capture is supposed to work with chroma key though? I'm not sure, haven't used it.
