virtual camera- scene doesn't switch in Zoom

I'm a piano instructor and use Zoom with the majority of my students. I have created a few different scenes. However when I use Virtual Camera, although the scene changes work flawlessly in the OBS window, my Zoom seems to be stuck with only one scene which refuses to change. Matters not if I am in Studio Mode, whether I use Hot Keys etc.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
I am on Catalina if that matters.

Have You tried to do the same thing but in Google Meet?

Virtual Camera didn't show up in google meet. Also I have over 20 students, all of whom are familiar with, and comfortable using Zoom or FaceTime. It'd be hard for most of them to change horses at this point.
