Virtual camera question

I have set up a source to use when using the virtual camera but when I click "start virtual camera" nothing shows up. Am I missing something, if so what is it and can it be explained easily?

Since I don't see any other responses I'll share this. I'm new to OBS Studio so this may not be the issue but I did have a similar issue and discovered that something wasn't checked (or turned ON). It was the little eye icon next to the selected camera in the Sources window. Mine was not highlighted so it was off. Maybe this helps.
