Virtual Camera not working on version greater than 27

I have been unable to get the OBS Virtual Camera working on any versions later than V27. When I "Start Virtual Camera" I get nothing on the output. Works fine with V27. Am I overlooking something obvious ?

Can someone at least confirm to me that the Virtual Camera is even meant to work beyond V27 ?

Or can someone even confirm that my messages are appearing on this forum. I have asked this question a couple of times over the last 2 years and never had a response.

Go into my applications folder, OBS, right click then select "get info", then under "shearing and permission" set Admin privilege to read & write.

Thanks for your reply. I already tried that to no avail. However, it has suddenly started working on 2 of my 3 Macs in question. And in fact on the two that are working one is set to read&write and the other just read. I don't know what I changed to cause it to work but I'll just have to shrug my shoulders on this one and hope the third one starts working although that one is not critical.
