Question / Help viewer lag when streaming with elgato and mac

My viewers are getting a 15-20 second lag and the stream is choppy when I'm streaming to twitch. Ive tried a lot of different settings to decrease the lag, but nothing seems to improve it. When streaming straight from the elgato to twitch there is maybe a 1 second lag, but when using OBS the lag increases. I just got a new computer and don't know if that is the problem.

10-20 seconds of delay is normal for a livestream; best-case scenario is between 9-12 seconds of delay due to the HLS video streaming protocol in use. Even on classic RTMP (which Twitch does not use any more), 3-6 seconds is the minimum.

That is not a log from a live streaming session, but it appears that you are trying to run at 1080p. Be advised that unless you are a Partnered streamer, exceeding 2000kbps is not advised, and a 1080p stream will not work on 2000kbps. Downscaling to 720p@30fps is recommended.
