Not sure if that title makes sense, but will explain further.
Using Windows, OBS, streaming various games, I have the same issue.
I choose Specific Game for capture, and that works fine - I choose the game window when the game is up and running.
But, what is visible on the stream is only part of the full screen window.
IE: My game resolution is at 1920 x 1080, and what the viewer sees in the stream is only about 2/3 of the full game screen.
For example, in Elite Dangerous, you can only see the area outside the front area and the top parts of the dashboard of the ship.
I can MOVE THE AREA seen in OBS.
I have attached a screenshot.
You can see what I mean - you can only see a portion of the game screen.
