Question / Help Videos Not Opening in any editor?

Okay, so im streaming and recording at the same time, and when I stop and try to open the video in a video editor such as sony vegas or adobe premiere and i just get an error saying it cannot open the video, does anyone know why this is happening? I can upload the video straight to youtube with no problem, but its not HD.

I am having the exact same problem. I am told it is something to do with the video not closing properly or something. Anyone have any idea how to fix this problem I have a lot of these videos and a lot of lost footage i need to try to recover.

Just make sure you are using CFR and AAC audio, if OBS crashes or anything when you are saving a .mp4 then it will be corrupt. You can try to use .flv since it will always work even if it crashes. You can convert .flv to .mp4 without re-encoding -> viewtopic.php?t=6406
