Hello,
As of two hours ago, mid stream OBS started giving me issues. I was in the process of physically moving my web-camera when the issue first appeared, but this may just be a coincidence. I've since completely unplugged the web cameras from the PC and the issues remain. I've restarted my system, problem remained. Reinstalled latest OBS (21.1.2 64bit).Problem remained. I let windows install some updates that were pending; still problem remains.
My CPU usage does NOT spike and OBS claims to be using 0% when the lag happens then 1-2% when normal. (NOT streaming or recording - the problem happens with or without). I tried to make a simple scene, ie just a window capture instead of my full programming scene; and the issue still appears. I have a suspicion it will occur on any scene that shows movement.
When it locks up, some of the OBS UI appears to lock up as well. I can change scenes and the sources of the new scene will show, but the view doesn't change. I can click Settings but nothing appears until it unlocks itself. As far as I am aware, nothing was installing or changing when the issue started; beyond physically moving the webcam and since then I've performed the updating of Windows 10 and OBS.
Please help!
