I do not really know how to "properly" name this feature, but what is in my mind is a video (f.e. flying in and out logo) that is displayed when scenes are switched. Basically, you are on SCENE_1 and before switching to SCENE_2 transition video is played and SCENE_2 is fading in in the background. This feature is commonly used in professional TV broadcasts.
