Hello everyone
I'm really new to the world of streaming.
I've setup my debian VPS with nginx using the guide here https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/how-to-set-up-your-own-private-rtmp-server-using-nginx.12891/
nginx is working and OBS is working, but when I open the rtmp stream with vlc, it is chopping like crazy.
Actually the video works perfectly for 3 seconds, then stops for 5sec and works again for 3 seconds (the 5 frozen seconds are skipped).
If I save to a local file, I do not get such lags when playing the file, the video works flawlessly
I've tried almost every settings in OBS... max bitrate is only 2000Kbps, I don't see any improvement.
ShaperProbe tells me :
Estimating capacity:
Upstream: 52598 Kbps.
Downstream: 17839 Kbps.
So I guess it is not a network problem...
On my encoding computer I have an i7-3930k @ 3GHz, 32GB RAM and a Nvidia 560Ti, I guess it can handle such a low bitrate encoding...
The VPS has a 1Gbps shared port and can handle constant 100Mbps upload/download, so it's not a network issue from the VPS either. RAM usage on the VPS is < 50% and CPU is under 5%.
If you have any idea... I don't really mind if there's even a 10sec delay, as long as the video is smooth
Thanks in advance
