My Specs: CPU Ryzen 1700x , AMD RX 480 256bit 8GB VRAM, RAM 16 GB OC 3200MHZ, SSD Hyperx. WIndows 10 64 bit (clean installed)
I used to record with OBS using 3 audio channels 30 / 60 fps Veryfast CPU preset CBR 7500 Bitrate and the recording kinda looked OK. Example below:
Black Ops 3 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Waq07VmNg9U
AC Origins: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IT3fQHUkww
The Origins game was demanding but my computer handle it well and so did OBS. Those were the good days, that I can not seem to get them back.
I don't know what happened but all my videos now have stutter. I have formatted my SSD and freshly installed Windows and all drivers. Tried to get back to my old settings in OBS but no matter what I choose I still get back stutter. I am trying to record as i did in the Origins video without any problems, however with different combinations of settings the result is the same.
Recording format MP4
In the past I have tried different variations of CRF with x264 instead of AMD
Also I have set YUV color space and range as default also tried to go FULL range and 709 to color space. Different things just to improve quality.
I don't care about performance. Since I think my computer can handle it. While I have zero lag at even ultra settings in game 60fps stable the recording regardless of OBS settings or game settings always looks stuttered.
Less than 1 month a go I started getting these problems.
The most useful information I found was in the link bellow. Thus I have tried : CRF 18 Ultrafast. It improves a little bit but not by much. Even tho the file size is HUGE. I will accept the file size, but even the preset above doe snot 100% remove the stutter.

This is my last video (please ignore the comnetary it is not in english).

It was made with CBR Ultrafast 3500 bitrate. It looks bad, however the stutter is removed a little bit. But not completely.
If I go up to Bitrate of 10k or more the video stutter is HUGE!
I have checked the CPU while recording with MSI Afterburner and Riva tuner. It does not fell the stress. All cores are running but it's at 35% most of the times, even less.
So where is this stuttering coming from?
I have never felt the need to mess with OBS settings until now. The AC Origins video was recorded at Veryfast CBR 7500 and it was just fine in 1080p resolution.
I just don't know what to do. Please help.
