Hello!

I hope you guys are all doing well. I am having some issues with OBS. My last few recorded videos have not been getting saved entirely. I would record a 20-minute long video and after I hit stop recording I would have to hit it again to stop it entirely. Now when I go back to open up the video I just made it only got the first 10 minutes or so. Any ideas of whats going on? Thanks!

Hello!

Do you have enough space on your drive? That could be one cause.
If you do send your latest OBS log, here's a forum post on how to do that:

I'll see what I can do from there.

I've had the same problem, what I just found in my logs was that when pressing the stop recording button again, it cancels the output of the video, and is therefore cutting the video short.
If you scroll to 11:06:32.183 where i stopped recording.

Hello again!

I can't seem to find anything leading to the issue, however I did find these.

Code:
11:06:41.939: Output 'adv_file_output': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 17155 (12.5%)
11:06:41.939: ==== Recording Stop ================================================
11:06:42.034: Video stopped, number of skipped frames due to encoding lag: 83011/92442 (89.8%)

Sadly, this over exceeds my knowledge, I am unaware of any other issues, someone else with more knowledge might be able to help.
I'm sorry I couldn't help.

Pentium based systems are not suitable for use with OBS.
Especially not with video cards as old as the one in that system.

Here is my log for today. I recorded a 15 minute longish video and it only saved about 7 minutes of it.

Hello again,
Have you tried changing the video format from mkv to mp4 some something like that, I don't think mkv should be causing that issue, but it would be worth a shot.

Saving directly to mp4 is going to cause more problems than it will solve, and absolutely will NOT solve your problem here.
You are overloading your video card EXTREMELY badly because of the resolution you're recording and the age of your video card.

Hello Harold and good evening!

So my issue is my video card not being able to keep up with the resolution the video is recorded with?

Very likely yes.

From the log.

Switch the format back to mkv.

Thanks Harold. I have switch it back to MKV. I have recorded videos in the past with this same graphics card with no issues. I am not too sure why all of a sudden it's starting to have issues keeping up. I will try again. Thanks for the help!
