Question / Help Video/Media File support

Hey Guys!
I run OBS as a daily driver for my stream page at Twitch. I also am a video editor and like to use custom FLV, F4V, and MP4 video files I created using After Effects for my twitter, youtube etc. Is there a plan or is there a current option I am overlooking on how to directly play these types of files with OBS? Xsplit had this feature and was one of the main reasons I used it. Thanks in advance!

There's no such feature, but it's planned. If it's somewhat a short movie, you're unfortunately out of luck, but if you want to stream something long, or want to only stream video you could try playing it in a media player and capture it using Game Capture source or Dxtory and then use DirectShow source in OBS.

Can also just use Window Capture and Sub Region to crop out the player's menus and controls. This way you can even do playlists
