I'm seeking information on whether or not it is possible to stream at 29.97 as opposed to 30 frames per second. Even 59.94 would be suitable. The issue is the sync between my headset and webcam. My 1080p webcam can run at 30fps as well as custom frame rates. So can my C985. The sync issue would occur in Xsplit as well but Xsplit allows custom stream frame rates. I was wondering if there was a way to do this with OBS? This is truly the only reason I would renew my Xsplit license and I'm hoping there's a fix. I know from having the sync issue in Xsplit that placing all 3 variables at 29.97 completely fixes the problem. Currently only 2 can be set to 29.97 and OBS won't allow a decimal. :(
Edit: I hope this is OK.
This is a snippet from a post regarding the C985 posted on the Xsplit forums:
"Q: What can I do to fix Audio/Video Sync issues?
A: Many people have fixed their issues by simply setting their Video Format FPS settings to 29.97 instead of 30 or 59.94 instead of 60 - Don't forget to match XSplit Settings!"
This was the only sync fix for the capture card itself and both devices and the software need to be at that .97/.94
