Video drop frames

I record my gameplay using OBS at 60 FPS, and I also cap the game at 60 FPS. While playing and recording, there’s no drop frames or stuttering — the gameplay is very smooth. Even the GPU and CPU usage doesn’t exceed 40%. However, when I finish recording and go to watch the recorded video, I notice drop frames in certain scenes, although the video later returns to being smooth.

1. Record to MKV. If you record to MP4 or MOV and the recording is interrupted, the file will be corrupted and unrecoverable.
If you require MP4 files for some other purpose like editing, remux them afterwards by selecting File > Remux Recordings in the main OBS Studio window.
2. Your log doesn't show any skipped or missed frames. It's capturing what the source is providing. If your source is providing a consistent 60 FPS (different from being capped at 60 FPS) and you're recording at a consistent 60 FPS and viewing it on a 60 Hz tv/screen then you shouldn't be missing any frames.

I tried recording in MKV format and also set the screen to 60Hz but same thing.
