Video Capture showing no signal

Here are some things I would try:
1) Sometimes devices like that send no signal to your computer until it's getting an updating signal. Im assuming youve turned on the ps2 and tried pressing buttons and stuff while it's plugged in, but, i would be remiss not to mention it!
2) I assume you've tested the HDMI capture device with other things and they work? Do you get a signal when you plug the ps2 into your hdmi adapter and then into a TV's hdmi port?
3) Other software that supports webcams should probably see the device as a "webcam"; you could see if it looks better in any of those. Like if you have discord, you could go into the webcam settings test and see if it shows up on there. This could be a good way to diagnose if it's a device problem or an OBS problem
