Bug Report Video Capture Device problems

If I start my stream with a Video Capture Device in the sources, the program will stop responding for ~30 seconds and then go back to normal.

If I take the video capture device out of the window, the stream starts instantaneously until a video capture device is added.

Does this happen with all video capture devices, or just that webcam?

If it's just the webcam, and switching USB ports doesn't help, then it might be an problem with the webcam. It sounds like it might be an issue with the webcam not activating in a very timely manner.

What happens if you create two scenes, one with the capture device and one without, and start streaming with the non-device scene, and then switch to the scene with the device?

The program stops responding like it would. When the stream starts on a scene without the video capture device it starts just fine until I switch the scene.

The webcam activates quickly just fine when I test it in Skype. It seems to be delayed only in OBS.

I've tried both 32bit and 64bit.

Out of curiosity, does changing the Output format affect things at all with the webcam?

Inside the video capture device source, there's a checkbox for Output Format. Try changing it to see if that affects anything.
