Hi,

What is the Video Capture Device Preset settings used for?

my BirdDog P100 (1080P PTZ) is connected to my Mac Pro via NDI over the network, The camera, OBS Canvas and Output scaled resolution are all set to 1080P. when using Zoom the image resolution look like 720p when comparing with NDI Monitor. I'm just wondering what quality is the preset settings named "high"? because there's 1280x720, 960x540, etc and then there's high. I'm curious because there's no 1920x1080 so is that the 'high'? see attached screenshot

Thank you

As well i don't get all the custom camera settings options as i can see other users have when they adding new camera. i run it on Big Sur, installed NDI Virtual input and runtime driver. is that a driver issue? (.i.e Birddog, Big Sur, OBS). i also notice when i change the resolution between High and 720p the image size stay the same unlike when changing to lower resolution, i suspect that i'm on 720p resolution.

Thank you

I don't know the official answer, but Preset High seems to be the input's maximum resolution.
Zoom restricts your resolution. In most cases, 720 is the best you can get, even set to HD. The default is 360.

Zoom Group HD support

Thanks for your reply, adding a camera using Video Capture Device is still 720p although the camera is 1080p. however i just notice there is a new option to add NDI Source, i was able to add the camera and it fit the 1080p screen by default without resizing but doesn't show the resolution. see attached NDI camera settings
