Video Capture Device not working

have you tried trouble shooting, or disabling & re-enabling your devices in device manager?. is your devices up to date in firmware/software?

I also have an issue with no devices appearing. This just started yesterday, and it has me quite baffled. I have been using OBS for viewing my capture cards successfully for about a year or so. I was working on an HDMI device yesterday that I had used many times before and it started working as normal, but then the video input froze. This has happened before, but usually if I select another device and then select the capture card again it works, but this time none of my devices appeared. Normally I have a few devices to select from including my capture card and built in webcam. I reboot the computer and sometimes the devices come up in OBS and work for a bit, and then the same thing happens. From what I can tell, it doesn't seem to be driver related because it affects multiple devices simultaneously and will work sometimes and then inexplicably fail. Also, deleting updating, enabling, the capture card device doesn't have any effect.


This issue occurs in multiple versions of OBS. I have uninstalled and deleted preferences. I have tested these and this issue affects them all.

I captured a log file directly after reboot when working until device detection failure.
