Video capture device not working properly

Running OBS Studio 27.0.1 (64 bit) on Win10 PC
Video Capture Device not sending an image to PC.
Device Mgr. reports PC`s camera is working.
Properties used on Video Capture Device work else where.
What could be causing the problem?
 
Following.
Newbie user here. Same issue.
Win 10 machine. OBS v27.0.1.
Generic VGA webcam (USB connect) shows up in OBS menu as a Video Capture Device but passes no signal to program.
Functioning properly if going direct to YouTube or Zoom.
Guessing I'm making some rookie mistake, but I've wasted time on a metric ton of "how to" videos and not seen this as a known issue.
Help!
 
I got around the same problem. I still don`t know what caused it to happen and I would like to know. I deleted the Vdeo Capture Device and when I put it back I was careful to make sure it used s different connection to Text source.
