Question / Help Video Capture Device not Recognized

I properly connected my new capture card (AVerCapture HD-GL310) to my Mac and have RECentral and the newest version of OBS installed. But, when I try to add a source (Video Capture Device), the built-in FaceTime camera is the only option. I installed the application and driver from Avermedia's website (https://www.avermedia.com/gaming/download/lgp_lite#tab-0), but I noticed that none of the stream engines (https://www.avermedia.com/gaming/download/lgp_lite#tab-1) are compatible with Mac. Could this be the problem? If so, is there any way to get this capture card to work with a Mac? If not, what capture cards would work with Mac? Trying to stay at or under $100 for the capture card. I have attached photos of the screen showing info about my Mac and OBS only showing the webcam.

If it helps, here is my latest log file: https://obsproject.com/logs/T_pgXeq4BA-lM0jZ

Thank you.

There are no compatible capture cards, or really any capture card at all, that I can recommend under $100. Sorry!

The most recommended for a macOS compatible capture card to use with OBS is the Magewell USB3 card. Capture cards like the Avermedia, and most Elgato, only work with their own proprietary software and not with any third-party applications like OBS.

Thank you for your response. If OBS does not work, then what proprietary software would I be looking for? Stream engines? Because it seems the only stream engines for this capture card are for Windows.

There aren't any. The outfits that sell cheap capture cards for Windows generally only make that software for Windows, or make a Mac version that you have to use instead of OBS because they don't ship device drivers (Elgato). If a manufacturer doesn't ship a device driver, you're limited to the features they offer in their bundled software; no 3rd party software is going to work with another vendor's capture card if they don't ship a MacOS device driver, and if they did, you could just use OBS.

The cheapest device I can think of that should work with OBS on the Mac is the Elgato Camlink, although I am loathe to suggest them at all given their history of misleading advertising regarding OBS/MacOS compatibility.
