Question / Help Video Capture Device Not Displaying

Hello-

First, on an old 64 bit version of OBS v0.659b using the below steps work. This only stops working on OBS 22.0.2.

I'm attempting to use a video feed from an IP address. To do this I added a new source -> Video Capture Device -> Create New -> Selected OK. I selected Configure Video -> Put in URL -> Autodetect video size -> Get message "Successfully recieved image size. Your camera works." -> Apply and OK. The camera is still blank.

I tried disabling the camera when not in use and flipping between scenes which use and don't use the camera to see if it would trigger it to turn on, but no such luck. I'm not sure if this is a bug or if there's something I'm missing between the two versions.

After messing around a bit I changed the Resolution/FPS Type from Device Default to Custom. From here I changed the resolution from the 1920x1088 default to 240x136 (in the drop down) and it worked — I now have the image. The camera is 1920x1080 though and OBS v0.659b detects and will use it as such so I'm not sure why OBS 22.0.2 will not function with a higher resolution. Perhaps this is a bug after all?
