Question / Help Video Capture Device capture?

Hello!

When I try to capture my PS3 with AverMedia LiveGame HD I just get a black screen with white text saying HDCP. How do I get rid of this? I hope it's possible to broadcast PS3 material?

The PS3 blocks HDMI capturing to prevent people from recording Blu Rays. It was supposed to only be enabled when playing a Blu Ray but by accident or an oversight, they just left it on always.

It seems to be hit or miss getting the PS3 to show up, sometimes it works for me, sometimes it doesn't . Might even depend on your capture card itself.

Wow! That's really retarded. I hope I can find a workaround. The card seems really nice otherwise.

You will have to get an hdmi to dvi box to get an workaround on hdcp

Or get an HDFury. You can probably pick up an HDFury1 Gamer Edition for not too much second hand.
