Question / Help Video camera not recognized now

Hello and thank you for being here! Today was the day for my first youtube live stream......yeah,so first question is why did my OBS app suddenly stop recognizing my video camera when it's worked for almost a week. System is HP Probook 8460w,SSHD,8gig,Windows 10 with a brand new j1445 video camera and all programs updated.To enable video camera to go in to pc camera mode you tap twice on the icon and screen changes to pc camera but no picture now. I've turned off my computer and camera ,restarted twice with no luck. 2nd issue is when the camera was working an hour ago when I tried to go live with youtube an error came up that I had to enable my webcam and audio. I don't want to use my computer's webcam. TIA anyone:)

A device suddenly going away is usually some kind of hardware issue.
Make sure you have a direct connection and not using any USB hub.
Try a different cable.
Disconnect other USB devices except mouse and keyboard.

Thanks, camera worked instantly on another computer so it was my laptop. I did a device diagnostic in device manager and it was a problem with Base System Device,maybe due to hot plugging in an external monitor? I deleted /reinstalled OBS, let the wizard choose the settings and it all works now.Something strange about the first time I uninstalled/reinstalled,when I opened OBS the same studio screen came up?!? Thanks for the quick advice!!

Welp, tried using my new set-up and same problem. Camera not recognized by OBS when I try to add video source. Strange that the camera audio is recognized in OBS though. Using new USB cable and different port,uninstalled and reinstalled OBS 25.0.4 3 times with no luck.Downlaoded HP diagnostics from their site and ran all test's but still no go.TIA anybody :)

SOLVED! My OEM webcam needs to be enabled cuz disabling it also disables the provided software. Thanks again for this cool software!!!
