Hi, maybe this topic is already here, excuses for that, but i'm in a hurry. I use OBS studio to record tv from an USB HDMI capture card. Everything was going right; CPU usage while playing this source was about at most of 65%; but suddenly, without changing its settings or making any change on the software (as for instance, update it or reinstall it); basically without touching it; CPU usage grew to 90%, playback is choppy and obiously the fan is blowing hard. Besides evidently, capture is even more choppy. I just use OBS Studio for that, i'm not an streamer, or something like that, so basically many of the time of its use is just for tv playback. It worked smoothly even while other "heavy" programs were running.
I have followed many of which recommends about this issue: lower program's priority, changing of codec, restarting OS, etc, etc. but I have couldn't making it work as before, smoothly.
But what concern me more, is why suddenly, without any intervention (my pc doesn't have virus), it became to use so much CPU. I understand that capturing consume too much resources, but source playback was working very fine and most important, without consuming so much CPU; so ¿what could be happening?
Thanks for your attention.
