Question / Help Very Blurry When Moving

I have a beast of a PC:
i7-4790k 4.0 GHz
EVGA GTX 970 SC 4 GB GDDR5
16 gb 1866 RAM
21.18Mb upload

Why am I getting blurry movement with that?
What settings should I use, I want to stream in 1080p or 720p 60 fps
Thanks for any help

Post a log file from the Help menu. Just upload one and post the link here.

Chances are very good that you're not using enough bitrate for your resolution/stream.

If you're streaming to Twitch and are not a Partnered caster, the golden point is 720p@30fps, 2000kbps. It's the best tradeoff between resolution and smoothness, while still streaming at a bitrate to minimize buffering for a majority of Twitch viewers.

Well. Lots of things need fixed in that, if you're not a Partnered caster.

- Get rid of the custom x264 settings
- Remove the custom buffer size
- Downscale to 720p
- Set your framerate to 30fps
- Drop your bitrate to 2000kbps
- Drop your audio bitrate to 128 or 96kbps AAC (160 isn't needed, and is a waste)
- Stop streaming over wifi
- Enable Aero (it speeds up Game and Window captures significantly; turning it off to improve performance is bad information still around from the Vista days)

Yep. Probably more cost-effective to get a pull-box and terminate it yourself if you actually need 250'. Spec max segment length on Cat5e is 100 meters, so a bit under 330 feet. That said, if you live in a house that needs a 250' run, you can probably afford a pre-terminated cable. And are using ultra high gain directional antennas for your wifi on both ends.

The settings are absolutely a problem. Why the rest of the bullet points in my response were there.

You're running 1080p@60, which is a problem. You're running 3000kbps which is a problem in both ways (too low even for 1080@30, much less 60, and too high to avoid having your viewers buffer a lot). You're using a custom buffer for no visible reason. You've slapped in some custom x264 settings which make no sense. You've got Aero turned off, which is a terrible idea when using OBS. You're using 160kbps for audio alone, which is pretty much just a waste.
Using wifi was just the cherry on top.

On the bright side though, you avoided using Monitor Capture under Win7.

Haven't seen a logfile since the settings changes. :)
Need a new one of a live stream at least 5 minutes in length, and possibly a VOD link if you have broadcast recordings turned on (to see and review the video quality), so we can look at the back-end numbers and make sure it's working properly.

Still do need to see the log files to see if there are any subtle issues or improvements that can be made, but that VOD does indeed look quite decent!

By using proper settings, Allan. Blurry = not enough bitrate for the resolution used. Need to either raise the bitrate (preferably not above 2000kbps unless you're a Twitch partner) or lower the resolution/framerate.
