Question / Help Verizon Jetpack problem

Due to COVID-19, my church has been holding drive-in services in our parking lot. We have been using a Verizon Jetpack to stream to Facebook. We tether to the Jetpack through USB (not WiFi). As of 5/3, we get the "Failed to connect to server" message. Everything works as normal through our hard-wired connection, but using that connection in the parking lot is not possible.

10:21:45.521: [rtmp stream: 'simple_stream'] Connection to rtmps://rtmp-api.facebook.com:443/rtmp/ successful

Perhaps you uploaded the wrong log, as this shows a successful connection.

The error code is MBEDTLS_ERR_NET_RECV_FAILED which means a network problem occurred. Facebook runs RTMPS on port 443 which is typically used for web browsing, it's possible Verizon is trying to do something with your port 443 traffic and interfering with the connection to Facebook for whatever reason. Do other streaming services such as Youtube work OK?

I haven't tried other streaming services. I just tried Youtube, but it takes 24 hours to set up live streaming. I'll follow up tomorrow. Are there any other steps I can take between now and then?

You can try restream.io with Facebook but that requires paid account to stream to a page. You can stream to a personal profile page for free as a test.
