Vegas Pro Unable to input multiple audio tracks

I have 2 PC's. Both running the same version of Vegas Pro, but different versions of OBS Studio.

Recording a multi-audio track on the older version (27.2.4) records and allows input with all 6 tracks in Vegas Pro.

Recording a multi-audio track on the NEWER version (29.1.3) records but does NOT allow input with just 2 audio channels visible in Vegas Pro.

I have tried to cross-ref the file after creation and details appear to match (both running Stereo etc..)

To clarify. ALL recordings have 6 working audio tracks (tested with VLC), but Vegas Pro cannot see them when recorded with the newer OBS version.

Sub note: There are a LOT more recording options in the newer OBS version and this could potentially be a configuration issue, but as I am unable to see exactly what the settings are on the older version I cannot make sensible adjustments. As best I can I am running default settings (but with avanced recording options).

Any advice / help appreciated.

Are you saving directly to mp4 at all? If so, don't.
LOL I read you say something very similar in another thread earlier and changed back to MKV with remux, sadly that didn't fix the problem.

However...I do have an update (which I will add to the original post to keep things neat?)

Ultimately, because VLC shows the audio tracks properly regardless of OBS version, that means that both OBS and the recordings are fine and that the issue is actually more likely with vegas.

UPDATE: Couldn't see how to edit my original post, so I guess I will have to add it here.

So...as an ongoing test I reset my recording settings to Basic (something I have never used - due to the need for multiple audio tracks) and recorded in default setting...well it now allows me to import all 6 audio tracks into Vegas.

So I guess the new question is: What are the settings used in the default setup, so that I can replicate them in advanced?

Again, thank you in advance for any advice.
